Parish office Staff:

The Parish Service Representatives [PSRs]
Ms. Marva Bascombe and Ms. Donna de Caires

  • The PSRs can make initial arrangements for baptisms; they will book your Mass Intentions; they will make arrangements for funeral services. The parish priest will have to interview the couple before a wedding date is confirmed.
  • The PSRs will assist you with a providing certificates for the sacraments celebrated in our parish.
  • They are willing to help in matters related to your various church needs and can connect you to the proper persons for the various services needed from the parish.
  • They will guide you in your commitment to help the parish financially or otherwise.

Our parish is moving towards full stewardship (in compliance with the archdiocesan mandate). Persons who desire to become stewards can request a registration card from the PSRs  and when this is completed and handed to the Stewardship Committee you will receive a follow up note or call as to how best you can become an OLPH Steward.

Stewardship Prayer

Glorious and Loving God
Father, giver of all that is good,
help us to appreciate
all that you have given to us.
Help us to know that
all time belongs to you and
teach us to use some of our time
for the good of your church and
for the good of others;
Help us to discern that your creatures
have all received some talent.
Teach us not to bury it
but to use it  for the
building of your kingdom;
all of us have amassed treasures
(wealth) for our own use..
teach us that to use some portion of this
for you and your kingdom
will multiply the little treasure we have.
Almighty God in a spirit of
grateful dependence we offer you
what we have received and teach
us to put you first in everything we do.
Amen

Prayer for Generosity

Lord Jesus, You came to tell us that
the meaning of life is to be found in giving.
You told us that those who cling
too tightly to what they have…
without thought of You or others…
end up losing everything.
You gave us new values by which to measure
the worth of a person’s life
Help us to realise that it is not
temporal success or riches or fame
that give life meaning
Rather it is the service rendered to You
and others that bring fulfilment and makes
our Lives worthwhile.
May our activity build God’s kingdom,
Our obedience bring true freedom,
Our generosity increase love,
Our suffering bear generous fruit,
Our death lead to eternal life.
