Frank Look Kin FRANK LOOK KIN retired
as President of the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago
Limited (NGC) after tenure of just under 13 years in 2009. Presently,
he serves as Technical Advisor to Minister of Energy and Energy
Industries and also as Special Advisor to NGC.
He graduated from Presentation College with GCE Advanced level
and then earned a Professional Degree in Geophysical Engineering
from the Colorado School of Mines and Master of Engineering in
Mineral Engineering Management from Pennsylvania State University,
USA. Prior to joining NGC in 1990, he worked for 20 years in
various technical positions with the Ministry of Energy and Energy
Industries of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, where his
final position was that of Chief Technical Officer.
Mr. Look Kin has been honoured nationally as well as by professional
organisations. In 1993, he received the Distinguished Engineer
Award of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and in 2008, he
was conferred with Career of Excellence in Engineering award
by the Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad and
Tobago. In 2008, he was recognized with a National award – Chaconia Medal Gold for
contribution to National Energy Development.
Mr. Look Kin held Directorships in Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited and Atlantic
LNG Company of Trinidad and Tobago. Following his retirement, he continues to
serve on the Board of National Enterprises Limited, University of Trinidad and
Tobago, National Quarries Company Limited and Trinidad Generation Unlimited.
